I’m David and this is a News Flash. Welcome to our Don’t Get Dead community of survivalists. Not the live in a bunker with months of supplies variety, though there is something to be said for a zombie apocalypse preparation. But we are people who simply want to live unmolested by the violent and or financially damaging exploits of the substantial number of criminals and gangs among us.
Most people allow for vulnerabilities that make them more likely to become victims. So, what’s the plan? It’s simple. Shining the light on the awareness and defenses that are the building blocks of crime prevention combined with effective response plans. I am not implying that making this knowledge part of your mindset, lifestyle and environment is an absolute or perfect defense. However, it will go a long way toward isolating you from the status of crime victim.
When a group practices good crime prevention, a neighborhood, the business community, a city; they drive crime away from their areas. It presents an unacceptable risk of capture or too great a degree of difficulty for criminals. So, it’s clearly in your best interest to want to share the wealth of safety information with your friends and neighbors. Crime prevention is for everyone but criminals. It’s also a moving target. As this series progresses, we will adapt to the newest ways of countering both existing and new types of crimes.
